Sage Engineering Associates, LLP provided engineering design services for the construction of a new 30,000 square foot laboratory addition to an existing classroom building.

This project was designed to meet the standards required for certification as a LEED Silver Building, as determined by the United States Green Building Council.

Project features included:

New Makeup Air Unit Equipped With Heat Recovery

Water-cooled chiller and cooling tower.

New building electrical system

VAV laboratory ventilation system

New Web-based Building Management System


Farrell Hall Renovation

SUNY Delhi

Delhi, New York

 

Sage Engineering Associates, LLP provided engineering design services for the complete renovation of the existing 75,000 square foot university building. The existing building included a gymnasium that was converted to a partial two-story dining space with new loft spaces constructed overhead, with a complete new kitchen. All existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were replaced. The building also includes a performance theater for which new mechanical and lighting systems were designed. Upon completion, this building will function as a campus student center, complete with student offices, dining spaces, meeting rooms, lounges and classrooms. This project was designed to meet the standards required for certification as a LEED certified building as determined by the VSGBC.

 

Project features included:

  • Variable flow kitchen hood exhaust
  • New chilled water plant with grade-mounted cooling tower
  • VAV with terminal hot water reheat air systems throughout
  • Engineering systems for ceramics arts studios
  • New theater lighting and sound systems

Renovation of Old Main

New Paltz, New York

 

Sage Engineering Associates, LLP provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for the complete renovation of this 75,000 square foot college administration and classroom building.

This project was designed to be certified as a LEED Silver Building, as determined by the United States Green Building Council.


Project activities included:

  • Heating from central plant High Temperature Hot Water supply system.
  • Central chilled water plant including centrifugal chiller and roof-mounted cooling tower.
  • VAV HVAC equipment throughout the building.
  • Microprocessor-based lighting control throughout.
  • Complete addressable fire alarm system.
  • Complete sprinkler system.
