Structural Engineer 


JOB DESCRIPTION
Design and develop structural systems for new and existing buildings including Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Cold-formed Steel And Wood Structural Systems.
Foundation & Retaining Wall Design.
Structural and Seismic Evaluation & Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings.
Retrofit and Strengthening Design of Deficient Structures.
Structural Systems Feasibility & Cost Studies.
Prepare drawings and specifications for structural systems.
Review and implementation of applicable Building Codes.
Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and material samples.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, construction observations and design compliance.
Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and building owners to ensure project success.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field. 
Specific coursework related to structural design.
Excellent verbal, written and computer skills.
Ability to perform under time constraints.
Intern or Coop experience a plus.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit a plus.
Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performance buildings.
Ability to work in a team environment and learn from Senior Engineers.
Comfortable interfacing directly with clients and industry peers.
